Ok, this is for all you people who don't know what Runescape is. RuneScape is a Java-based Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) operated by Jagex Ltd.
RuneScape takes place in the fantasy-themed realm of Gielinor, which is divided into several different kingdoms, regions, and cities. Players can travel throughout Gielinor on foot, by using magical teleportation spells and devices, or mechanical means of transportation. Each region offers different types of monsters, materials, and quests to challenge players.
Unlike many other MMORPGs, there is no linear path that must be followed. Players appear on the screen as customisable avatars, setting their own goals and objectives. Players can combat both monsters and other players, complete quests, or increase their experience in any of the available skills.
Here is a set of picture postcards taken in a few of the locations around Runescape. The characters you see posing for these pictures are Space, Eingana and Libra. The first picture is taken in Ardougne City - in the market square. The waving characters (left to right) are Space and Eingana.
This next picture is taken at the top of Camelot Castle. The castle is situated between Catherby and the Seers Village. Our special thanks to King Arthur for allowing us to use his castle for a while. The characters from left to right are - Libra, Space and Eingana.
What holiday would be complete without a journey into a hell and battles with demons. Libra is ranging, Eingana using her Spear and Space is slashing around with his sword. These are some of the creatures that Runescape offers. There are far worse ones elsewhere.
Here are Space and Eingana - showing off the special emotes that you get with the highly coveted 'Quest and Skill Capes'. These capes are only available after achieving maximum points in a skill or completing all of the available quests.
Finally, the short tour ends with dinner at Space's house. The butler is bald, the dessert is delicious and the company is good.
