I hate moving.
I don't know a single person who enjoys it.
I knew it was going to be a complete stuff up on Thursday when i got home from work to find my internet, tv & phone services had all be disconnected. so after a 45 minute phone call to a call center in the phillippines on my cell (which left my ear burning!) i was none the wiser, fed up with that i ended that call and called the regional managers office who told me that my services had been booked for disconnection on that day.. er no, i have letters from you, and emails stating the date for disconnection and relocation of services was saturday! oops we're sorry madam but it appears someone at our end has made a momental stuff up.
two days later after moving a bunch of shit in 30 degree heat we finally sit down to a bit of telly and surfing the web.. and HA you guess it, no interenet - whaa you have got to be f*&king kidding me??? the tech was here today and told me that everything was a go, it was all good yadda yadda. so back on the phone.. i call telstra, and inform them i have a problem with my wireless internet.. i am then informed that they don't supported wireless.. WHAT??? (i swear i have steam coming out my ears by now) how on earth can you sell me a product and i pay you the bill for that product and you DON'T SUPPORT IT?? fuckers. so after explaining my problem and being told that they tell me to ring Belkin, which i do.. and they are very helpful.. i am on the phone to them for 1.5 hours and nothing.. they are confused i am frustrated. I call back telstra (the bastards) and explain the problem (again) they inform me that belkin have changed the settings on the modem and/or router.. *sigh* well just fix it, it's been 2 hours now i am beyond being polite. I then casually mention to the techie i'm speaking too that since i am now hardwired into the modem and the net is still not working that perhaps it isn't a wireless problem at all but an internet problem?.. like is my access restricted or something.. there is a pause, he says "one moment, i need to check something" he comes back and tells me that provision for the internet hasn't been allowed, whatever that bloody means is my reply, oh bascially the tech that hooked you up forgot to allow provision. ok so FIX IT. He can't.. the tech has to do that. so in the morning i ring the tech and leave him a nice polite message telling him my problem, he sends me back a txt msg saying give me 5 mins. 5 mins later the net is on.
